| The Vancouver Island Real Estate Board (VIREB) reports sales for all types of properties in the VIREB market area were up 3% from a year ago with active listings down 4% in the same period. Chair, Oliver Naud indicates VIREB's housing market remains in the mid-range of balanced with aprox 6 months of available inventory.
The Cowichan Valley benchmark price for a Single Family Home thru September 2025 was up four per cent over September 2024, currently at $804100, while the Vancouver Island Real Estate Board's board-wide benchmark dropped two percent, to $796,000.
